The mahr that Rasulullah ﷺ gave to his wives was 500 dirhams.^[1] This is equivalent to 1.5 kilograms of silver. The value of silver fluctuates, and the most accurate way to calculate a dollar amount is based off the prices on the day of the nikāḥ.
